Aloha!

So, at this point, I've been living in Honolulu for just under a month now. For those lovely people who don't know, Honolulu is the capital of Hawai'i, and is located on the island of Oahu. It is a truly lovely place to live, but also a very different place. And let me tell you, from the perspective of a southerner (sans accent), it is very, very different. While the being a state of the US, Hawai'i is a truly unique culture that one would be hard-pressed to find anywhere else in the world.
Speaking of differences, one of the most major differences that I can think of, off the top of my head, would be bubble tea. While being abundant in eastern Asia, and also many of the larger cities of the US, I have found it very difficult to find in the South. It sounds so trivial to mention, but it just so happens to be one of my favourite drinks in the world. For those sad, sad souls who don't know what bubble tea is (also called Boba Tea) it is a drink (normally) with tapioca pearls at the bottom, with the drink itself commonly having a milk, fruit or tea base. You also get these really awesome big straws to stab at the bubbles.
In my continual quest to find bubble tea here, I have discovered a couple of places (although I have not been to nearly enough). One place is in Ala Moana, called Taste Tea, which is, what I gather from the crowds, is an extremely popular bubble tea place. Another good place, where I have already gotten Passion Fruit Green Bubble Tea on multiple occasions, which is a must try (assuming you like green tea, that is) is Dragon Tea, a place found in undoubtedly the most famous part of Honolulu: Waikiki.
These are my starting remarks, so here's to more! *raises up yummy bubble tea*. Kippis!
